They might give you a better price than gold dealers would, but this is highly dependent on your unique set of circumstances.

If you want to stick to the electronic world, and can't really be bothered finding a gold retailer somewhere in the midst of your city - is it definitely possible to sell your gold on the internet. There are a number of websites (which can be found with a simple Google search), which will make an offer based on the specifications and photos you upload to the system.
If you choose to accept the offer, you usually have to courier the gold to the websites headquarters, where it will be checked for consistency - and then followed up by the particular cash payment amount agreed on.
